    Along the back, measure from one acromions lateral edge to the other acromions lateral edge.

    To find the lateral edge of the acromion, follow these steps:

    1. Locate the acromion: The acromion is a bony projection on the scapula (shoulder blade) that forms the highest point of the shoulder. It can be felt at the top of the shoulder, near the joint where the shoulder meets the collarbone (clavicle).

    2. Identify the lateral edge: Once you've located the acromion, the lateral edge refers to the outermost edge of the acromion. You can feel for the bony prominence and identify its outermost point, which corresponds to the lateral edge.

    3. Measure: Use a tape measure to measure the distance from one lateral edge of the acromion to the other.

    Measure the neck around the C-4/C-5 area and below the Adam's apple (for men).

    To locate the C-4/C-5 area, follow these steps:

    1. Find the prominent bone at the base of your neck, which is the fifth cervical vertebra (C-5). This is typically the area where the base of the neck meets the shoulders.

    2. Position the tape measure: Place a flexible tape measure around the neck, around the C-4 / C-5 area. Ensure that the tape measure is parallel to the ground and snug but not too tight against the skin.

    3. Find the Adam's apple: For men, locate the Adam's apple, which is a prominent cartilage structure in the front of the neck. Ensure that the tape measure is positioned just below the Adam's apple.

    Measure from the bottom of the mastoid process behind the ear diagonally down to the acromions lateral edge.

    To identify the Mastoid Process, follow these steps:

    1. The mastoid process is a bony prominence located behind the earlobe, towards the back of the skull. Gently feel behind your earlobe to find the mastoid process. It typically feels like a small, rounded bump.

    2. With the mastoid process identified, hold one end of a flexible tape measure at the bottom of the mastoid process. Ensure the tape measure is positioned against the skin.

    3. Diagonal Measurement: Extend the tape measure diagonally downwards in a straight line towards the shoulder to reach the lateral edge of the acromion, which is the outermost point of the shoulder.
